Gosh, what a year it has been for Kaitie Gill Weddings! It’s crazy to think that 2024 is coming to a close. And, of course, like most, I’m reflecting back on the year. So, without further ado, here’s The KGW recap for 2024.

01. Ultimate Wedding Experience

Ultimate Wedding Experience - 2024 Recap

Kaitie Gill Weddings came in hot for the year with co-hosting the Ultimate Wedding Experience with Natalie Scott, owner of The Grandeur House. Natalie and I were truly blown away by how the day surpassed even our wildest dreams! The vendors truly outdid themselves. We can’t wait to host the event again in 2025 – date to be determined.

02. First Wedding of the Season

Our first wedding took place on January 13th (just missing the snowy weather we got earlier this year!) at, of course, The Grander House. Karli and Josh were the most precious couple and it was truly a great way to start our wedding season!

03. The Wedding Blue Book Filed for Trademark & Got a Rebrand

I had to pinch myself but The Wedding Blue Book filed for a trademark in March with the help of Whitney Bower. And the great thing – it is now officially trademarked as of December 3rd! Get ready to see some really exiting things come from The Wedding Blue Book.

And, as always, thanks to the amazing Alex Collier Design for giving The Wedding Blue Book a glow-up in our branding. She also did our branding for KGW. I just love everything that she touches.

I know this isn’t technically a Kaitie Gill Weddings update, but it is pivotal for me. 🙂

04. Caroline Became a Principal Planner for KGW

There is a process in order for KGW Team Members to move up to Principal Planners – meaning they get to be the lead and go-to planner on wedding days. Not only is there a process, but you have to have certain leadership qualities to match. Well, Caroline, not only met the qualifications but exceeds them. Couples who get to have her as their Principal Planner on their wedding day is truly lucky! She’s one of the best ladies I know and when you meet her I promise you’ll agree!

05. The KGW Team Grew!

Speaking of The KGW Team, our team grew and we couldn’t be more thankful!!

Lynley joined our team as our Executive Assistant, helping myself with backend details of my business, and also as an assistant planner when she’s home from U of A. Lynley is also going to be an integral part in helping me with the next steps for The Wedding Blue Book.

Then, Jessica Meece, reached out to me on Facebook about helping assist me with weddings. I didn’t scare her away with my crazy and she’s stuck around. And, we are so glad she’s here to stay! She helps bring calmness to weddings with days and helps me slow down and not always be in a rush on wedding days. She also owns her own online boutique – DS Capsule Collection.

06. Branding Shoot with Kayleigh Ross Photography

Naturally, because our team grew I had to do a new team and branding shoot with Kayleigh Ross. Kayleigh, is in my opinion, one of the very best photographers we have in Arkansas. In fact, I don’t think I’ve ever put it in writing, but KGW couples that book her get exclusive planning rates with me.

07. My Office!

If you’ve been following along with me for the past year, you know that I bought a shed in 2023 to convert into my very own office space. The process was MUCH longer than expected as Ryan and I did everything essentially on our own. And by that, I mean Ryan completely transformed a shed and exceeded all my expectations and vision for how I wanted my office to turn out.

It officially was completed at the end of October/beginning of November so I decorated it for Christmas first. And, of course, I had Kayleigh come and take photos.

I will say this project was totally worth it, BUT if you ever plan to do this on your own as well just add 2x the timeframe you think it will take. Ha.

08. The KGW Team Went to Vegas!

This year I was so happy that I was able to take the KGW Team to Vegas. We missed a few of our girls, but The Nicole’s and Wednesday were able to join me at The Wedding MBA. This trip was one for the books! I can’t say it enough but I have THE BEST team and I couldn’t do what I do without them. These ladies are gems in my book.

09. Our Last Wedding of the Season

Caroline was the Principal Planner for our thirty-third and final wedding of the season with me actually assisting her! We got to celebrate Keely & Joshua at one of our favorite venues – Sunset Lodge at Rusty Tractor. Keely and Joshua’s wedding was truly so much fun and getting to wrap up our wedding season with them was perfection.

10. New Planning Resources & Portal

With the growth that KGW saw in 2023, I was able to make some significant investments in my business. I also spent A LOT of time but I revamped how we plan weddings with our couples. To say our couples have loved our new planning resources, portal, and forms is an understatement. It truly helps me stay organized with everyone’s wedding details.

And while, I love all the systems I have in place there are some more new planning aspects rolling out for 2025 that I’m truly excited about and cannot wait to share with KGW couples.

From the bottom of my heart, THANK YOU so much to every single person and every single KGW couple who has supported me and this business. I still have to pinch myself that this is what I do full-time. And, while yes, I still have bad days here and there, I would never, ever trade my job. It’s truly an honor to get to plan alongside our couples and be trusted with such an important day.

Happy New Year from Kaitie Gill Weddings!
