Cat & Tim | December Wedding in Hot Springs

When Cat reached out to me about needing a wedding coordinator for her December wedding in Hot Springs, I won’t lie, I got all giddy!

December weddings are just a personal favorite of mine. It don’t know why I love them so much. It could be the fact that I love the fact you get to say you’re married to your best friend over the holidays. Or, it could be the often cool, crisp air that comes with December. Either way, I was so excited to help Cat and Tim finalize the details for their wedding day.

Even with the misty rain, Cat + Tim’s wedding was nothing short of an absolute dream wedding day. The day started out with the wedding party getting ready off-site at their perspective hotels. Once we had access to Garvan Gardens, the wedding party all gathered for photos on location.

And, can we just take a moment real quick to recognize how photogenic Cat + Tim are??? Okay, now back to the day…

Once pictures wrapped, it was time for the ceremony. One thing I love about Anthony Chapel is you don’t have to decorate much to have a photo-worthy ceremony space. Plus, with it being December, the Christmas tree was set-up which, in my opinion, made for the dreamiest backdrop. The Arkansas Symphony played the prelude music, processional, and recessional music. Which, if you’ve never heard a live string quartet play in the chapel, you’re missing out!

When the ceremony ended, guests made their way to the Hot Springs Country Club to enjoy a cocktail hour. Cat’s family is from Texas and Tim’s family from Arkansas so it was a great time of mingling with family and friends.

The reception events followed as a traditional wedding does. First dance, father/daughter dance, cake cutting, and then PARTY. The dance floor was packed until the very last second of the night.

And, even though the party ended at the Country Club, the celebration continued at Oaklawn’s Casino where Cat and Tim joined close friends to party well into the night.
