Hey, there! I'm Kaitie, owner and executive wedding planner behind Kaitie Gill Weddings. I've always loved throwing a good party so the fact that I stumbled into the wedding planning scene doesn't shock any of my family and friends.
I still have to pinch myself every now and then to remind myself that I'm in fact living a dream - planning weddings for couples just like you!
I'm often asked if I always wanted to be a wedding planner. The truth is, no! However, when I was working with a fully-immersed wedding company in Tennessee I found this little hidden passion of mine - planning weddings.
From the start of this business of mine, I would have never thought it would become my full-time gig. But, here we are and I'm so excited that we are.
I'm an open book, lover of black coffee, lazy lake days and you can always count on me to be the girl to cry during a movie. I have a slight obsession with holiday decor and picture frames (just ask my hubby!) and always spend way too much time in Target and Hobby Lobby.
Speaking of my hubby, we're high school sweethearts who married in 2014. Together, we share our home with three fur babies, our son, Lincoln, and little girl, Darcy.
When I'm not planning a wedding, you can find me around a bonfire or playing games around our kitchen table with family and friends.

My favorite moment of a wedding is right before the bride walks down the aisle. I love the anticipation of her loved ones who have gathered awaiting to see her. And, I love that in that moment no matter what the day has held leading up to it, all of that doesn't matter now because she is about to marry her very best friend
I originally named my wedding planning company Sailboat Weddings after my grandpa who passed away in September of 2009.
There are three things you need to know about Papa:
1. He never ever met a stranger.
2. His goal was to always make things easier for his family.
3. He loved Jesus, his family, and - you guessed it - sailboats.
Even though my company has had a rebrand the daily reminder that I can make the world a better place one day at time by loving people like Christ, just like Pap did, lives on. He left a legacy and it inspires me daily.
