Kaitie knew Asher through her momma, who had the honor of teaching Asher "Bit" in pre-kindergarten and 3rd grade at The Anthony School. Bit was one of the spunkiest kids, a literal ray of sunshine, despite her ongoing battle with cancer since the age of 3.

Kaitie will never forget getting to meet Bit as Ariel. Bit shared with "Ariel" and "Snow White" how Jesus was going to cure her of cancer. To this day, Kaitie finds it amazing how someone so young had the courage to tell two "Disney Princesses" about God. "Do you know who Jesus is?" she asked. "He's going to heal me." It was her strong faith that Kaitie will remember most about Bit.

And, even though God didn't heal Bit by the worlds' standards, she's living a life free of cancer in Heaven. Her legacy shines bright and continues to be a ray of hope through The Brooklyn Project Foundation.
