Melissa & Josh | June Wedding at Grandeur House

Melissa and Josh’s June wedding at Grandeur House was extra special to me because they are dear family-friends of my family.

In fact, my dad was a groomsmen! It was kinda fun “bossing” my dad around for the day. Ha!

Melissa and Josh met at a kickball game and from there the rest is, well, history. They married on June 22nd, Josh’s favorite number and danced the night away with family and friends.

As most weddings begin, Melissa and Josh got ready separately with their bridesmaids and groomsmen. Once it was time for pictures, Melissa shared a first look with her dad and then an emotional first look with Josh.

The ceremony was a celebration and once over, the reception was an even bigger celebration. Food was catered by Next Level Events, a delicious cake by Mickey’s Sweets and Treats, and cookies were made by PattiCakes. Melissa and Josh love going to the St. Louis Cardinal baseball games so it was only fitting that the cookies reflect their love for The Cardinals (and, of course, golf).

And, did I mention that Josh and I went to high school together too? We went to a small high school so everyone knew everyone. It was fun because we got everyone who went to our little ole school together for a must-have picture.

The dance floor opened up and it was never empty once it did! Glow foam sticks made the perfect accessory on the dance floor and even was used as a fake mic at times. Especially, when Don’t Stop Believin’ came on.

The night ended with a glow stick send-off. I loved this send-off idea, by the way. It allowed for the foam sticks to have a multi-purpose during the wedding festivities.
